SilverStar Mountain Resort
This Vernon BC ski resort is known nationally for all types of snow sports (downhill, cross-country, tobogganing, skating, tubing and more) for the whole family. 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel, SilverStar is also a four-season resort, with hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. Enjoy all the year-round fun that Vernon’s award-winning mountain offers and return home to relax at the Chalet.
Okanagan Rail Trail
Unparalleled bike riding and scenic walking along the shore of Kalamalka Lake. Ask our front desk for details on this gem of Okanagan. Free parking next to Sun Country Cycle at the north end of Kal Lake.

The Okanagan is famous for many things, perhaps most of all, are the emerald-green, crystal-clear lakes, warm water, and sandy public beaches. Swimming, strolling, and sunbathing are all fabulous pastimes at our nearby Kalamalka and Okanagan Lakes.

World-class riding is on our front doorstep! Ellison Provincial Park, SilverStar Mountain bike park, and countless backcountry trail destinations await you to explore.

Looking for some cerebral activities? Check out the Vernon Art Gallery downtown and various outdoor art shows in the community. The Vernon Museum is a great place to learn about our area’s history and thousands of years of Indigenous culture.

From Kamloops to Osoyoos, the Okanagan is ripe with world-renowned wineries. Boutique wineries and Estate wineries abound; our front desk team will be happy to point you in the direction you need. The closest wineries in Lake Country (20 min south of Vernon) are a great place to start. Several great wine touring companies with shuttle busses are available, or you can create your own personalized wine tour schedule. Many wineries offer a restaurant, or have picnic tables where you can bring your own lunch and feast look out over the beautiful vineyards of the Okanagan.
